Well yes ! It will have escaped no one’s notice that the new French Prime Minister shares the same name as the French actor and director. However, Yvan Attal wishes to clarify that he has not “nothing to do with Gabriel Attalexcept [leur] name [qu’ils] sharing[nt].” “Actually I met his father who worked in cinema, Yves Attal, who was a producer. I met him a long, long time ago. But I absolutely don’t no relation with [Gabriel].” That is clear !
A confusing name
However, this name similarity with the politician, far from disturbing Yvan Attal, amuses him. On the RTL set, on January 20, opposite Nathalie Renoux, the director was surprised during the launch of the Unexpected Journal. As the journalist finishes the credits, Yvan Attal interrupts him jokingly : “People need to know that I am at the microphone and in front of the microphones, there are computers, and I see there: ‘Attal launches into a big debate’, I was afraid“, he begins, adding with humor: “I’m like, ‘Damn, what debate should I have? ?
