Former NFL professional Vincent Jackson is dead. He died in a hotel room when he was only 38 years old.

Former American football professional Vincent Jackson has died. According to official police reports, the athlete was found dead in a hotel room in Brandon, Florida on Monday afternoon (February 15). The circumstances of the death are still unclear. Jackson, the former wide receiver of this year's Super Bowl winner Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was only 38 years old.

As the authority's report suggests, Jackson has lived in the hotel permanently since January 11, 2021 for reasons unknown. The bizarre: on February 11, his family filed a missing person report, whereupon officials contacted the 38-year-old. "After Jackson's well-being was established, the missing person case was canceled," the report said. Jackson died three days later.

He had the title of Deputy of Honor

Sheriff Chad Chronister mourns the loss of the former NFL professional. "My heart aches for the many loved ones Vincent Jackson leaves behind, from his wife and children to the Buccaneers nation who adored him." The athlete was "a devoted man", "who put his family and his community above everything else". For his commitment – Jackson supported military families, among other things – he was even appointed Deputy of Honor. "He will be sorely missed not only by football fans across the country, but also by the people of Hillsborough County," said the sheriff.

Jackson played twelve seasons in the NFL: seven with the San Diego Chargers and five with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In 2018 he ended his professional career.
