PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–The construction and concessions group Vinci announced on Monday that it had won a rail contract in France for an initial amount of 118 million euros over five years. This contract granted by SNCF will begin in January 2024, Vinci said in a press release.

“SNCF Réseau has awarded lot ndeg2 of the Industrialized Rails Renewal contract to ETF, a subsidiary of VINCI Construction”, the group specified.

The group added that 135 kilometers of rails would be replaced on average each year thanks to two specific pieces of ETF equipment: a 550-meter-long mobile factory train that will replace rails and fasteners and a new 432-meter rail transport train. which will ensure the routing of new rails and the loading of old rails.
