According to investigative journalists Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project, the head of the Kremlin would be at the head of an incredible fortune. While studying Russian email addresses, they made an incredible discovery. Thanks to LLCinvest.ru, these reporters found out that 86 companies that had this email address owned luxury properties, yachts, jets… All worth 4.3 billion euros.
According to these journalists, this cooperative would house the assets of Vladimir Putin. Digging a little deeper, they discovered that many professionals exchange emails to manage maintenance work, to book a private jet flight… Many properties then have a direct link with the Russian oligarchs, very close to the President. “Many of the businessmen who own LLCinvest companies are part of a group of friends and associates who coalesced around Putin when the latter was a high official in the mayor’s office of St. the 1990s”, explains OCCRP.

How did these journalists come to such conclusions? It is in particular thanks to a leak of documents from the company Moskomsvyaz, a Russian IT service provider that the reporters were able to make the correspondence with all this fortune. As a reminder, in 2021, Alexeï Navalny had revealed that Vladimir Poutine would have a huge palace on the shores of the Black Sea. The principal concerned had denied holding this property. According to the American media Forbes, “Figuring out how much Putin weighs is the hardest riddle of all wealth hunts.”
