A would-be thief (28) in the Tyrolean capital probably didn’t expect that: he wanted to steal a bag from the open car of an 86-year-old on Sunday. But he had reckoned without the well-fortified senior.
Shortly before Sunday noon, the local stood in a parking lot in Innsbruck with his open car. A 28-year-old Somali probably wanted to seize the opportunity and steal a bag and wallet from the car. But when he tried to escape, the owner of the car pulled him to the ground. In the course of the ensuing scuffle, the 86-year-old managed to get the bag back. The unsuccessful thief fled but didn’t get far. The police launched a manhunt and were finally able to apprehend the Somali.
