Like its capital Kiev, Ukraine is resisting the Russian invasion which began last Thursday. Several events slowed the progress of the Kremlin troops.
In this 4and day after the start of the Russian offensive, Ukrainian forces regained control of Kharkiv, the 2and most populous city in the country with 1.4 million inhabitants and located near the Russian border.
The Kremlin has greater resources, dominates in the air and at sea but is struggling, for the moment, to achieve its land objectives.
Gasoline shortages?
On a road in Sumy, in north-eastern Ukraine, near the Russian border, a Ukrainian filmed (north-east, Russian border) his meeting with Russian soldiers, posted next to their tank. “Breakdown vehicle?” asks the author of the video, reported by the Voice of the North. “No, waiting for diesel,” the soldiers then replied. “I can take you back to Russia,” the Ukrainian then joked, prompting laughter from the Russians.

Returning to the road, the driver came across a second stationary tank. This unusual sequence shows above all that the Kremlin soldiers are slowed down in their progress.
Ukrainian sabotage
Journalist for the Washington Post, John Hudson relayed an instruction given to Ukrainian soldiers: “In order to sow confusion and confuse the Russian troops who move illegally on the roads of Ukraine, we call on citizens to take the following initiative : remove signs with numbers and names of streets/towns/villages in their areas”.

Following the bombardments, the Internet network is damaged in Ukraine. The country’s authorities thus hope to disrupt the maneuvers of the Russian army and gain time.
Dissipated soldiers?
According to information reported by The Sun, Russian soldiers revealed their location by connecting to Tinder during the invasion of Ukraine, thus revealing their location.
As the armed forces prepared for an imminent bombardment on Kharkiv, the dating app’s geolocation showed that the soldiers were about 30 kilometers away.
Valuable information reported to the authorities by a 33-year-old Ukrainian girl who also told the British media that she had been able to discuss with certain soldiers.
