Many Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific players are fed up with assault rifles dominating the meta, so they demand better machine guns.
Even though they’re supposed to be the best long-range weapons, aside from a few exceptions, machine guns have never really dominated the meta. Players have reported that this weapon category doesn’t really have an identity, so players are asking for major buffs for this category.
The Warzone Pacific meta moves very quickly, but the weapon categories that dominate are often always the same: assault rifles, submachine guns and sniper rifles. We see very few shotguns and machine guns even if we can still cite a few exceptions at times.
Modern Warfare’s RAAL is surely one of the most powerful machine guns in Warzone.
When we talk about long-range weapons, we very quickly think of assault rifles. Although some tactical rifles and a few machine guns dominated the meta. We only have a few seasons left before we wrap up Warzone Pacific and move on to Warzone 2.0 and players would like to see some major changes in the meta to change habits.
The player named “onlyPlayAOE3” on Reddit wrote a long post where he expresses his frustration with the lack of machine guns in the Warzone meta for too long.

He hopes at least that this category of weapon will have more identity and force on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 as well as Warzone 2.0 which are released later in this year 2022.
The Warzone Pacific meta is expected to move a few more times over the next major updates including Season 4 Reloaded and potentially Season 5 at the end of the summer.
