Watch out for the latest Samsung Galaxy update

The update to One UI 6.1 seems not to convince many Samsung Galaxy S23 users. Charging, heating or even performance problems are shared on the web.

Clearly, the latest update to Samsung’s One UI interface really doesn’t seem to be unanimously accepted. At the beginning of the month, we learned that it was causing problems with the fingerprint reader, a very annoying bug on the Galaxy S23. But the problems don’t stop there.

On Reddit, several Internet users have shared problems encountered with their Samsung smartphones since the update to OneUI 6.1

The problems encountered

Thus, we can read that the Galaxy S23+ can heat up more, even in standby, since the last update. Others have noted slower charging speeds and shorter battery life on their smartphones.

Smartphone charging would now be limited to 80% instead of 85% before the update, when protection against battery aging is activated.

Other Internet users are reporting battery life problems on the Galaxy S24 Ultra or the Galaxy S23 FE, so the problem seems to affect all smartphones affected by the update to One UI 6.1

Other smartphones soon to be affected?

In May, Samsung should continue the deployment of the One UI 6.1 update, particularly for the Galaxy S22 generation. For the moment, the brand has not communicated about the problems encountered.

Hopefully the brand will be able to offer a fix for people affected by these various bugs.
