Sébastien Chenu was the guest of Europe 1 this Tuesday morning. At the microphone of Thierry Dagiral, the RN vice-president of the National Assembly assured that his political formation did not in any way want to obstruct and “break everything”. “We are not the extreme left”, he underlined, referring to the motion of censure voted by the NUPES.
The National Rally, a party like the others? For Sébastien Chenu, there is no doubt. “We are not elected to break everything, to block the machine”, he thus assured this Tuesday morning on Europe 1. At the microphone of Thierry Dagiral, the vice-president of the National Assembly explained that his training policy cared above all about the well-being and concerns of the French people.
“The deputies of the RN respect the institutions”
“We are not on the far left. Our voters have given us a mission: to bring ideas, work on purchasing power, fight against the retirement at 65 wanted by Emmanuel Macron, denounce immigration policies, make proposals every time. Well that’s what we’re going to do,” explains Sébastien Chenu.
The vice-president of the National Assembly wants to fight against the idea that the deputies of the National Rally would not be “frequent”. “The deputies of the National Rally respect the institutions in which they evolve. They respect them in relation to those who preceded them, eminent parliamentarians, but also in relation to the millions of votes they represent, these millions of French voices who ask to be heard. They don’t ask that we roll on the ground, that we arrive dancing. Where are we mistreating the institution?”, he asks.
The RN deputy also deplores the words of Olivier Véran, who declared that the presence of RN deputies in the hemicycle “twisted his belly”. “Olivier Véran is an old socialist from the 80s who has remained perched. Everyone takes it for his rank. It’s totally ridiculous. What’s less ridiculous is when I hear someone like Darmanin who says that we are enemies. These words are serious”.
