This Tuesday, January 11, Martin Blachier reposted on Twitter an article dating from last June in which he warns against a wave of hospitality in the fall. Unfortunately, this has indeed happened, which annoys the epidemiologist.

Despite his warnings, the wave of coronavirus he was talking about has indeed arrived. For Martin Blachier, “we could have avoided that”, as he said on his Twitter account this Tuesday, January 11. This is why he republished the article of our colleagues, in order to remind everyone that he was right.

In the gallery, the epidemiologist suggested to vaccinate as quickly as possible to the most vulnerable people and even to make it compulsory. Its goal ? Avoid the fourth wave. Unfortunately, it still happened because the government did not follow its recommendations. Martin Blachier seems upset by the following events, he who is however very listened to by the Elysee according to the JDD. Very upset, he had already expressed his disagreement with the choices of Emmanuel Macron on television.

Martin Blachier had subsequently indicated that they could have avoided the Delta wave by stopping “say that the vaccine protects against transmission”.
