May 25, 2022 is a special day for some families. Indeed, this day highlights children who have been missing, sometimes for many years. This is the case of Marion Wagon, this ten-year-old girl, who disappeared into the wild as she left her school to return home. For 26 years, a man is still haunted by this case of disappearance: Roland Courdesses,head of urban security at the Agen police station who had been alerted first at the time. The man wanted to tell his version of the facts in a report broadcast on W9 in Criminal Investigations.
This Tuesday, May 24, the teams of It’s up to you released footage from the documentary. Roland Courdesses is then questioned and evokes his regrets: “I am a man who does not like to fail (…) It is a very particular case. It was the first time that I had to deal with the disappearance of children and to have failed … As much as I forgive me ‘for not having always succeeded in my investigations’ as much as this one I do not forgive myself”, he confides before continuing: “Despite all the difficulty of the site, we have no excuses for not having made progress for 25 years. I think that the solution to the file is already in the file”, he explains.
Roland Courdesses: “If they were involved in this disappearance, it was a good way to detect it”
Roland Courdesses also spoke about this case for our colleagues from TV Star. The former investigator talks about his obsession with the Marion Wagon case : “I was blamed for it, especially the gendarmes. When they were seized of the case, they had the parents in their sights. But my calculation was simple: if the parents were innocent, my support was essential, and s “they were involved in this disappearance, it was a good way to detect it. In the end, as Mr. Wagon will say, I became ‘the best friend of Marion’. It’s the best compliment you could make myself”, he remembered.
