We know the date of presentation of the OnePlus 10T and OxygenOS 13

OnePlus has just announced the date of the presentation of the OnePlus 10T, its next high-end smartphone, but also of the latest version of OxygenOS.

The successor to the OnePlus 10 Pro is approaching. In any case, this is what the Chinese firm has just announced in a recent blog post, where we learn that the presentation of the OnePlus 10T 5G will be held on August 3 at 4 p.m. (French time) in the city of New York.

The opportunity to confirm again the use of the old nomenclature of the brand for the top of the range. The latest OnePlus to be emblazoned with the letter “T” is the OnePlus 8T, released over two years ago.

Typically, these builds carry over much of the spec sheet, but feature design changes and a newer SoC. Enough to give a second life to the initial range, several months after its release. The image illustrating the article shows the back of the smartphone, which sports a matte coating and probably feels soft to the touch.

Power to spare

In his press release, Pete Lau specifies that the slogan of this 10T is “Evolve Beyond Speed”literally “Evolve Beyond Speed”. So it’s no surprise to learn that it has a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, supposedly Qualcomm’s most powerful SoC.

Unfortunately, it does not specify the rest of the technical sheet, but the OnLeak leaker believes that the American’s chip could be paired with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. According to him, we would also be entitled to a 6.7-inch 120 Hz Amoled panel as well as a triple photo sensor on the back, consisting of a 50 Mpx wide-angle module. Nothing surprising for top of the range in 2022.

This presentation will also be an opportunity to discover the new features brought by OxygenOS 13. OnePlus’ in-house overlay is particularly appreciated by fans. While everything pointed to a merger with ColorOS towards a unified operating system, the brand made an about-face shortly after MWC 2022, indicating that it was continuing its own momentum. It remains to be seen whether the changes will be anecdotal compared to Oppo’s interface. Response on August 3.
