We waited a long time … We finally know when the next Disney live action film, an adaptation of the 90s cartoon Mulan, will be released in France.

There have been many twists and turns regarding the film Mulan. Initially, its broadcast was well planned in cinemas, but the health crisis has slowed down Disney's ambitions. After repeatedly postponing the release of this highly anticipated feature film, the production has finally decided to make available Mulan on its Disney + streaming platform. At first, we learned that in addition to the price of the subscription, some countries would have to pay an additional sum to see the film. This decision outraged many fans of the 90s cartoon and eager to see the live action. In France, this will not be the case, although broadcasting on Disney + will be maintained. It still remained to be seen when the film could be seen in France, as the date had not yet been communicated.

Good news ! This time it's official. We finally know when the French will be able to watch Mulan on Disney +. It was on Twitter that the VOD service shared the broadcast date. Disney therefore makes an appointment with French fans on December 4. We also confirm that no financial supplement will be requested from subscribers of the platform. If this news delights the admirers of Mulan, the decision not to show it in theaters across the country is puzzling cinema operators. Indeed, the latter relied heavily on blockbuster releases such as Mulan to see cinema attendance increase. Since the start of the health crisis and the confinement, there has been a decrease in the number of spectators. Fortunately the movie Tenet by Christopher Nolan was released in theaters last week, allowing exhibitors to see more people filling theaters.
