France: Luis Enrique succeeds Galtier at PSG

Luis Enrique has been unveiled as Paris St-Germain’s new manager. The 53-year-old Spaniard succeeds Christophe Galtier, who has to leave the club after a year. Enrique previously coached FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team, for which he played 62 times himself. Since the split after the Spaniards lost the World Cup in Qatar, he has been without a job.

Saudi Arabia: Firmino to Al-Ahli

Roberto Firmino also follows the call of money from the desert and switches to the Saudi Arabian Pro League for the coming season. Kosovo: Slovenian Gliha new national coach

Kosovo have found the successor to sacked coach Alain Giresse. The Slovenian Primoz Gliha signed a contract with the Swiss group opponents in the European Championship qualifier until the end of the current campaign. The 55-year-old Gliha served as interim coach between November 2021 and February 2022.

France: Rico no longer in intensive care

A good 5 weeks after his serious riding accident, PSG goalkeeper Sergio Rico left the intensive care unit. This was announced on Wednesday by the Virgen del Rocio hospital in Seville, where the 29-year-old is being treated further. The Spaniard suffered a traumatic brain injury in his native Andalusia at the end of May. In the hospital, Rico, who was in a coma, had to be put on life-sustaining measures.
