West Bank: Israeli forces kill two Palestinian teenagers

RAMALLAH, West Bank, Oct 7 (Reuters) – Israeli forces killed two Palestinian teenagers in separate incidents in the occupied West Bank on Friday, the Palestinian health ministry said.

The ministry said a 14-year-old boy was killed in the northern West Bank, while another was killed in a village near Ramallah.

The Israeli military said it was carrying out routine activity in the northern West Bank on Friday when a suspect threw a Molotov cocktail at its security forces who then opened fire.

Palestinian news agency WAFA reported clashes between Palestinians and Israeli forces in the area.

Near Ramallah, witnesses said the Israeli army opened fire on residents during clashes with Israeli settlers, killing a 17-year-old Palestinian and injuring another.

The Israeli military said rioters threw stones at settlers and Israeli forces, lightly wounding one soldier, and the military responded with means of dispersal “in accordance with standard operating procedures”, including shooting.

The Israeli army said it was investigating both incidents. (Report Ali Sawafta, French version Matthieu Protard)
