“Westworld” always fell short of the high expectations of US broadcaster HBO. Nevertheless, four lavishly produced seasons were created, and a 5th season was to follow. As has now become known, however, HBO decided against a sequel to “Westworld”, leaving fans with unanswered questions.

Westworld Season 5: Canceled!
“Westworld” started out promising, but over time the HBO production lost more and more viewers and even the loyal audience often criticized the confused and seemingly aimless storyline, which broke more and more from the basic concept of the first season.
So the calls for a 5th season of “Westworld” weren’t particularly loud, but season 5 was supposed to be the finale of the series and so the remaining fans hoped for a round conclusion, which they will never get now.
HBO will not be producing any more episodes of “Westworld,” so the story ends with Season 4. It is not yet known whether the planned finale will be released in another form, perhaps as a novel or as a comic, in order to answer all open questions .
Westworld Season 5: Storyline
While there will be no Westworld season 5, after the season 4 finale we know what to expect in a sequel. The earth is almost completely deserted. The hosts live in the Sublime, only Caleb has remained as host. While it looks like Caleb is about to die by the end of Season 4, who knows if that would have happened.
In addition, a few people are still alive, but mainly season 5 of “Westworld” would have played out in the Sublime. There Dolores starts a test, although it is not entirely clear what this test would have looked like. However, we do know that Dolores wanted to match the Sublime’s look to Westworld.
