At the end of January, the mobilization of French farmers has gone up a notch. Road radars have been covered, highways blocked, manure placed in the street or even on the roof of a supermarket… The show of force in recent days has affected many departments.

If farmers have mobilized, it is because of a whole series of very different grievances, which themselves illustrate the great diversity of situations that coexist in the sector. Three major issues seem to be the main fuel for this large-scale movement: income, international competition and administrative burdens.
