Instead of the village church, they prefer a private chapel in Aix-en-Provence, which is much more traditional. Every Sunday, all the siblings go there, under the leadership of the patriarch. All are involved. The boys serve the mass, the girls provide the musical accompaniment. The couple takes the education of their offspring head on: their 10 children did not go to school before high school.

Philippe, Emile’s grandfather, is renowned for being particularly severe. The son of a teacher with a particularly uncompromising reputation in the Bouilladisse region, he would have perpetuated this type of education with his children.
