Anyone who has installed the beta version of WhatsApp will sometimes notice a new button on Android phones. It will be visible when you open the settings. This is an arrow that appears next to your name and profile picture. What’s it all about?
As the fansite WABetaInfo reports, this is a new feature called “Multi-Account”. It retrofits a previously missing function. Although you have been able to use your WhatsApp account on several devices in parallel for some time, using two WhatsApp accounts on one device has so far only been possible with tricks. This changes with multi-account.
Switch to another WhatsApp account
You can use the arrow to switch to another WhatsApp account or add another one on the device. This is practical, for example, if you have a private WhatsApp account and a professional one. Until now, you had to use an app cloner on dual SIM cell phones. This could be unnecessary in the future.

However, it will probably take some time before the new function is available to everyone. It is currently only shown to selected testers in the beta app for Android.
