Meta continues to test new features and cosmetic changes almost out of sight in beta versions of WhatsApp.

Soon, the instant messaging application could accommodate a different interface for the camera and the media selector.

Change for the camera

More change in sight for WhatsApp. While Meta has launched a web extension to secure the PC app and deployed six new features for voice messages, the American giant continues to work on future new features for its instant messaging application with 5 billion downloads on the Play Store.

According to WABetaInfo, several users have noticed a change in the camera interface on the Android version of WhatsApp. No revolution on the horizon but some visual changes, as well as a new design for the media selector in the vein of changes introduced in other elements of the application. We will also note the return of the media bar of the camera which had been removed from iOS following a few complaints.

These new features are still in the test phase and nested within the beta of WhatsApp Android, it will still be necessary to wait a few weeks or months before they are deployed to the general public. At least, if Meta decides to keep them, which is not always the case.
