WhatsApp will very soon roll out a much-awaited feature on the world’s most popular messaging app.

It is not a surprise. For a few months, WhatsApp has been working on the possibility of having several different accounts on the same phone. An interesting feature, which would not be very far from completion according to the latest information.

The new WhatsApp is coming

WhatsApp is an application that can be used both for personal needs and for the professional side. Unfortunately, until then, it was difficult to separate the two worlds, as the Meta group application did not allow more than one account to be used on a particular phone.

But things are changing. WABetaInfo has, in fact, discovered a future update of the application in which appears a menu offering the possibility of switching from one account to another (as illustrated in the tweet below). It will thus be possible to switch very easily from one account to the next.

New features that can be tested separately?

An arrival that was expected, and above all that is part of an expansion of WhatsApp’s field of possibilities. Because the application will in the future not only allow multiple accounts on a smartphone, but also, on the contrary, to use the same account on several smartphones. What quickly make us forget this time when changing the phone meant losing all of its history.

WhatsApp will also offer this possibility as it seeks to enrich itself with more “social network” oriented features. We think in particular of Channels, through which, as its name suggests, it is possible to open a channel where texts, photos and videos will be shared or even to read GIFs. With several accounts under the sleeve, WhatsApp users will surely be more inclined to use these new devices, which will remain compartmentalized. For the moment, no precise release date has been given.
