When Google promotes Windows Hello in Chrome, it’s confusing

Since the end of July, a growing number of Google Chrome users have seen a pop-up prompting them to use Windows Hello services. This appears more precisely in the upper right corner of the screen and then indicates the following message: ” Protect passwords with Windows Hello. If you share this device with other people, you can turn on Windows Hello to verify that it’s really you every time you use a saved password. »

The sudden appearance of this window on the screen can unfortunately cause the accidental activation of Windows Hello. Among the people who voluntarily activated the option, not knowing how to deactivate it, many of them quickly regretted it. To get rid of it, go to Chrome’s settings and navigate to the “Autofill and passwords” section. There, click on “Google Password Manager”, then on “Settings” in the left column. Finally, uncheck the “Use Windows Hello to enter passwords” toggle before relaunching Google Chrome.
