Thursday at 11:40 a.m., a man from Villach unloaded items from the truck in his hometown. Suddenly an unknown person jumped into the driver’s cab, started the truck and drove away. Search operation successful The 53-year-old from Villach immediately filed a complaint. Several patrols from the SPK Villach, the BPK Villach-Land, the state traffic department and the crew of the Libelle police helicopter searched for the car and the thief. Shortly afterwards, officers from the Faak am See police were able to stop the fugitive driver in front of the Drobollach town entrance. He was arrested for grand theft. The truck was able to be handed over to the owner undamaged. Accommodation sought.
