A violent family dispute kept the police in Innsbruck busy on Sunday night. A 26-year-old announced that he would kill his mother (48) by emergency call. The woman was able to flee into the bedroom when her son ran after her with two knives. The man was arrested.
At around 4 a.m., the local made an emergency call. “He announced that he would kill his mother and also gave an address in Innsbruck,” the police said.
48-year-old escaped into the bedroom
The emergency services immediately rushed to the alleged crime scene. The 26-year-old had fled the apartment by then, but then returned and was arrested. “The investigations so far have shown that the man threatened his 48-year-old mother, subsequently injured her body and strangled her,” explains the executive. After her son ran after her with two knives, the 48-year-old was able to flee into the bedroom.
Son cannot be questioned
The alleged attacker was transferred to the police detention center. According to the police, he is currently not available for questioning. His 48-year-old mother was admitted to the Innsbruck clinic and admitted to the hospital. “The examination carried out by the forensic medicine showed that the woman is no longer in mortal danger,” said the officials.
