A performance that will be remembered! At the British Film Awards, also known as BAFTA, William and Catherine stroll down the red carpet in front of London’s Royal Festival Hall for the first time as Princess and Prince of Wales. As in previous years, the 41-year-old attracts everyone’s attention. But especially in combination with her husband’s look, the outfit choice really works. Kate appears in a white Alexander McQueen gown. The mother of three already wore the one-shoulder dress at a gala in 2019, but had it modified a little for the British film award. More fabric was sewn on, flowing like a cape down Kate’s left arm, adding more drama to the dress.

However, the black gloves that Catherine combines with the dress provide even more drama – in the truest sense of the word. A real aha moment, because the Princess of Wales has never chosen such eye-catching gloves before. The black opera gloves are in great contrast to her delicate white taffeta dress, but they also fit William’s look perfectly. He chooses a black velvet jacket for the joint appearance and not only ventures out of his comfort zone in terms of fashion – fans compare the prince to a spy hero James Bond – but also form the perfect color counterpart to his wife.

Ever since Steve McQueen fought a legendary chase in a black turtleneck in “Bullitt,” the turtleneck has become a classic. We rarely saw royals in the skin-tight piece. Not suitable for royals? Are you kidding me? Are you serious when you say that! Prince William proves: The turtleneck is not only suitable for everyday work in the office, but also as an excellent replacement for the shirt when presenting an important sustainability award. At the appearance in London, the thin sweater serves as a looser and, above all, stylish alternative to a shirt and tie and offers greater fashion scope under the velvet jacket – there it is again. Kate also chooses a rather unusual accessory with her waist belt for the light lilac dress by Alexander McQueen. Here everyone looks stylish in their own right, without taking away any of the other’s own glamor.

Fans confirm: They are the most stylish couple of 2023
Kate and William’s style offensive has not gone unnoticed by the online community. As the English fashion brand “Karen Millen” has now filtered out after an analysis of more than five million social media posts and online searches, the heir to the throne is ranked first among the best-dressed couples in 2023. Based on interactions and (positive) comments on social networks, the fashion brand describes the British royals’ couple style as a “10 out of 10”. Very popular: Kate’s dresses and William’s tailor-made suits. It was found that online interest in their fashion was a staggering 94 percent higher than any other couple, making the two officially double style icons.
