Enable Windows Snap
In theory, the feature is enabled by default, but check that just in case.
- Make a shortcut Windows +i to open Settings.

How to manage windows on Windows 11 with the mouse?
Windows 11 offers six predefined window display modes and each can be adapted to your daily uses. Here we will explain how to use them. Hover the mouse pointer over the square at the top right of an open window, the one usually used to switch it to full screen or to switch from full screen to windowed mode. A small panel is then displayed offering you six ways to display your windows.
Two half-screen windows
- Hover the mouse pointer over the square at the top right of an open window.

- Select the first block that corresponds to two half-screen windows.

- Then select the second window which will occupy the other half of the screen.

- Once done, the two windows are docked and each takes up half the screen.

Two windows, two thirds and one third screen
- Hover the mouse pointer over the square at the top right of an open window.
- Select the second block.

- Once done, both windows are docked.

Three windows, one-third screen each

Two windows, one in half-screen and two others in quarter-screen
- Hover the mouse pointer over the square at the top right of an open window.
- Select the fourth block.

- Once done, the three windows are docked.
Four quarter-screen windows

Three windows with a large central window

- Select the last block.

How to manage windows on Windows 11 with the keyboard?
It is possible to manage windows on Windows 11 by playing with keyboard shortcuts. Here we present the essentials.
How to manage windows horizontally on Windows 11 with the keyboard?
- Select a window and press button Windows + Up Arrow.
- The window will then switch to full screen.

- Do one more tap with this combination and the window takes up half the screen horizontally and anchors to the top edge.
- If you simultaneously press button Windows + Down Arrow, you do the reverse.
How to manage windows vertically on Windows 11 with the keyboard?
- Simultaneously press the Windows button + right or left arrow.
- The window will then anchor to the right or to the left, occupying half of the screen.

- If you make one more press, it will be placed on the opposite edge
The keys do not allow as much variety as with the mouse, but can be practical in everyday life.
