Users of Windows 11Microsoft has just published Patch Tuesday for March 2024. In addition to the security fixes, the latter resolves a problem which prevented the latest update from installing properly on certain PCs.

You now know the tradition: every second Tuesday of the month, the Redmond firm publishes Patch Tuesday to Windows 10 and Windows 11 users. If this allows Windows operating system customers in particular to benefit from the latest updates security update, it is also a way for Microsoft to correct certain problems hindering the proper functioning of its OS.

Windows 11: March Patch Tuesday is deployed

This Tuesday, March 12, Microsoft deployed Patch Tuesday to Windows 11 customers. Called “KB5035853” for users of versions 23H2 and 22H2, and “KB5035854” for Windows 11 21H2 customers, this update, which resolves operating system security issues, also puts an end to a problem encountered by some users during the release of Patch Tuesday in February 2024.

Last month, some people were unable to install the latest update. An error message indicated to them that “ something hadn’t gone as planned “. Concretely, the installation process could fail when the update download reached 96%, forcing the device to revert to the previously installed update.

Nearly forty flaws corrected in Windows 10 and Windows 11

Good news, Microsoft today confirmed that update KB5035853/KB5035854 corrected the installation bug that occurred in the previous version of Windows 11. Furthermore, the company led by Satya Nadella took advantage of the publication of this patch to fix no less than 36 flaws within Windows 11, two of them being considered “critical”.

Concerning the case of Windows 10, know that 39 security vulnerabilities have been corrected with the publication of the latest patch. Like Windows 11, two critical flaws have been closed, one of them even allowing remote code execution (CVE-2024-21407).
