The Redmond firm seems determined to want to make Windows 11 the ultimate version of his operating system. While a first major update is currently in preparation, it seems that the American giant, Microsoft, already has its eyes fixed on the future…
As adoption of Windows 11 stalls, Microsoft is currently working hard to deliver a set of new features that should be added gradually. While Sun Valley 2 hasn’t taken its first steps yet, an update, codenamed “Sun Valley 3”, is already starting to get talked about.
An operating system that improves over time
Expected for this year 2022, Sun Valley 2 will actually be the first major update of Windows 11. While the latest version of Windows was officially deployed last October, it is true that the operating system takes especially its time before expanding to as many devices as possible.
However, it is clear that Microsoft has spared no effort to fill the gaps of Windows 11. And with the arrival of tabs in the file explorer or an interface that should meet some changes, Windows 11 should experience a first resurgence of interest, in particular through the Sun Valley 2 update.
But the Redmond firm does not seem to want to stop there since Sun Valley 3 is already taking shape in the minds of Microsoft teams.
Sun Valley 3 already on track
As relayed by the site Windows Latest, Microsoft has dropped a clue as to the existence of this future update. Indeed, during a webcast broadcast by Microsoft, we were able to see a Teams meeting in which we can see a PowerPoint document bearing the name ” SV3 Refined Investments Next Steps », SV3 being of course for Sun Valley 3.
Obviously, it is still far too early to try to imagine the new features that may accompany this update. Remember that Sun Valley 2 itself has not yet been deployed and that it is scheduled to land at the end of 2022. We will therefore have to arm ourselves with a little more patience before discovering what Sun Valley 3 will bring and when will it land.
Either way, it’s reassuring to see that Microsoft is continuing its efforts to improve the Windows 11 user experience.

To be completely honest, Windows 11 seems to us to be a good evolution of Windows 10. Beyond the very marketing aspect linked to the surprise effect (Windows 10 was presented as the last of the last, remember) and to the essentially graphical redesign of the interface, the update brings a bit of clarity and modernity that are welcome after six years spent with an OS designed to reconcile Microsoft and its audience. We also like the discreet details that make it more functional, such as the improved snap and anchor groups, or even the refined management of virtual desktops. Finally, we are really convinced by the redesign of the Microsoft Store. By agreeing to return to the exclusivity reserved for UWPs, Microsoft is effectively hitting where it is not expected and finally compels itself to catch up on Apple and Google.

11
