Windows 12: Small keynote teaser makes the rumor mill boil up

WINDOWS 12

Did Microsoft hide a teaser at the Build 2023 developer conference? A screenshot should be an indication of Windows 12.

  • There was a screenshot at the Build 2023 developer conference that aroused interest.
  • There you would see an appointment entitled “The next generation of Windows”.
  • This could indicate a new Windows – but nothing is certain.

At Microsoft’s own developer conference Build 2023, a screenshot is said to have appeared in a keynote that could refer to a possible Windows 12. On the other hand, there is a chance that this would only be a new feature for the existing Windows 11, after all, no official information about a new Windows has come from Redmond so far.

It is a calendar screenshot on which the date “The next generation of Windows” can be found. According to Windowslatest, attention was drawn to it without addressing it. Previously, Microsoft is said to have referred to a “Next Valley Prototype Design”. The manufacturer could use this to refer to a new Windows.

Windows 12 should look different compared to previous Windows versions. This probably includes a floating taskbar that does not have a button for the information center at the bottom right. There are also recent preview builds for Windows 11 that aim to approximate the next-gen look by disabling the date and time in the system tray.

Also interesting…

Windows 12 could be presented as early as 2024, throwing some legacy features overboard.
