Windows Defender
L’anti-virus
from Microsoft, will soon be revamped and offer a brand new interface!

At the top of the list among the best antiviruses on the market, here are the new features that await us in a future version of Microsoft’s software.

Windows Defender is modernizing

Planned for Windows 11, Windows 10, macOS, iOS and Android, the new version of Windows Defender will take the form of a web application. This will be intended to help the user ever more closely monitor the various aspects revolving around the security of their devices (compromised passwords, phishing, antivirus settings, scans, etc.).

This application will come with some significant additions, including the ability to customize its dashboard. One dashboard from which you can monitor the security status of your Windows device, but also of all your connected devices, all from one place (this obviously requires being logged into the same user account). This feature will allow you to add other accounts from the application if you wish.

At this time, this version of Windows Defender is only officially available to Microsoft employees. But according to the tests of Windows Latest, who was able to access a Preview version, it seems that the application has recently been updated. On the other hand, most of the announced features are not yet integrated and are still inaccessible outside the United States. Anyway, Microsoft should not wait any longer to officially communicate about the new version of its antivirus, decidedly determined to get up to date.

Increasingly powerful and complete, Microsoft Windows Defender is now a reliable antivirus for Windows 10. If the publisher decides to add a sandbox and extend its SmartScreen anti-phishing technology to all browsers, it could well start to seriously overshadow paid solutions.
