There are various reasons to use a wireless gaming mouse: For example, the desk could already be a single tangle of cables or the cable could make you feel too restricted when it comes to mouse movements.
Here are a few things to keep in mind when buying wireless gaming mice
Basically, however, there are a few things to keep in mind when purchasing wireless gaming mice. As for a wired mouse, first and foremost are a shape that is comfortable for you and an always precise and reliable sensor. The leading manufacturer here is Pixart, which is represented in many models. Some manufacturers even cooperate directly with the company to use adapted versions in their models, such as Roccat’s owl-eye sensor.

In the meantime, easily accessible and programmable extra buttons should also be part of the standard repertoire of a mouse for gamers. MOBA and MMO players in particular enjoy a complete keypad on the outside. But make sure that you can use the driver software as well. Because some programs are less intuitive and can turn the use of the mouse into torture. There is particularly good software from Logitech, Corsair and Razer, for example. You have to fear rather mediocre programs, especially with comparatively unknown brands.
Good wireless technology and a strong battery are a must!
Compared to traditional wired gaming mice, there are a few more things to consider about the wireless counterparts. The wireless connection is essential and should be both fast and reliable. Because inputs must always be implemented as quickly as possible when playing, so that victory is certain. Wireless mice that establish their connection via Bluetooth are out of here due to the high input latency.

A radio standard such as 2.4 GHz should be mandatory. In the meantime, various manufacturers have optimized the radio with mostly proprietary technologies so that the connection is faster, more interference-free and also more energy-efficient. At Corsair that would be Slipstream, for example, at Logitech Lightspeed or at Steelseries Quantum Wireless – all transmission technologies performed extremely well in our tests.
The battery life should also be long, so that the rodent does not hang on to the charging cable all the time. Charging docks, on or in which you can place the mouse to charge, are a bit more stylish here. Some high-end models even offer the option of wireless charging, which makes them a “real” wireless gaming mouse – after all, you no longer have to use a cable for power supply. Razer’s “Mamba Hyperflux” combination or Logitech’s Powerplay technology fall into this category – both charge the compatible mice in real time using a corresponding mouse pad. leaves a lasting impression on us. Thanks to her, our last prejudices against wireless peripherals have also been eliminated. Because the hyperspeed technology ensures that we cannot find any differences to a wired mouse. In addition, there is an impressive running time, flexibly programmable elements (lighting and buttons), an adjustable scroll wheel and PTFE sliding feet, which, in combination with the comparatively low weight, allow the mouse to be handled quickly.
The included dock and the light, flexible cable round off the good impression. We can make a clear purchase recommendation – and with a price of only 150 euros, the wireless gaming mouse is no longer too expensive.

The Sharkoon Skiller SGM3 offers a reliable wireless connection and impeccable workmanship at an attractive price. Switching to wired operation can also be implemented without any problems. And wireless charging is a nice and useful extra feature. The rather unknown, but also precise sensor certainly does justice to the demands of a hectic shooter. In addition, the ergonomic design of the gaming mouse is convincing. Only the weight of the Skiller SGM3 of 110 grams should be a bit too heavy for one or the other gamer. Nevertheless, the wireless mouse is definitely recommended at the current price of just under 40 euros.

is a real all-round talent. It can be used both wired and wirelessly and, together with the Powerplay mouse pad, is a well-rehearsed team. Due to the symmetrical design, left-handers can also enjoy this mouse. The eleven programmable buttons are also not insignificant here, as are the magnetic change buttons. Right- and left-handers don’t have to make any compromises when it comes to operation. Extras such as a precise sensor and freely selectable scrolling make the mouse interesting for gamers too. And most importantly: the sensor offers a high degree of precision. But Logitech is asking a proud price for this little powerhouse: At around 112 euros, the mouse can tear a big hole in your wallet. In addition, the feel is not exactly the noblest.
