With a stolen car – drug driver fled the police at 180 km / h

A driver (29) in the Tyrolean lowlands was involved in a wild chase with the police on Sunday evening: After the tempo bolzer was targeted by a patrol, he pushed the gas even harder, drove onto the autobahn and raced there at up to 180 km / h through a construction site area. Ultimately, the suspect could be stopped. Both alcohol and drug tests were positive. The car was reported stolen.

Shortly after 9.30 p.m. a police patrol on the B171 Tiroler Straße near Schwaz noticed a car that was obviously traveling too fast. The officers immediately turned around and pursued the vehicle. The chase continued on the A12, but the speed-bolzer did not want to be caught so easily: He hit the gas. “As a result, he increased his speed and fled via Pill to Wattens and finally via the motorway towards the Unterland. The driver passed the construction site area on the Inntal motorway between Schwaz and Jenbach at speeds of up to 180 km / h, ”the investigators said. Finally, the volatile car could be stopped in the construction site area. The driver, a 29-year-old Austrian, was arrested after an alcohol and drug test were positive. But that’s not all: the car appears to the police as stolen. Further surveys are still in progress.
