With its exercises around Taiwan, Beijing shows its “dissatisfaction”

Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen’s visit to California on April 5 was viewed with suspicion by Beijing. In order to reaffirm its policy of“One China”Beijing carried out, from Saturday April 8, military exercises aimed at simulating a “loopback” from the island.

On April 8, the Taiwanese Ministry of Defense detected 71 military aircraft and 9 warships “around Taiwan”. According to Taipei, 45 planes crossed the center line of the Taiwan Strait, considered the border between the island and the mainland.
