Realme is stepping up a gear. The brand, still young on the European market, is launching a complete new range there. Stamped Narzo, it has three models: the Narzo 50 5G, the Narzo 50 4G and the Narzo 50A Prime.
Rather focused on its encrypted series, its GT models (whose Neo 3 version is long overdue in Europe), or its C series, Realme announces its intention to further enrich its French catalog, on the strength of its fifth place on the podium. sellers in the first quarter of 2022. The Chinese brand indicates that three terminals will be marketed in France from May 25, 2022: the Narzo 50 5G, the Narzo 50 4G and the Narzo 50A Prime. These three devices are positioned at the entry level and succeed the Narzo 30 which was discreetly shown online last year. The pace of launches at Realme is therefore intensifying. And like Xiaomi, the brand intends to occupy all price segments with smartphones in many variations.
Much more prominent, the Narzo 50 series is driven in the wake of its 5G model, the most advanced in the range. The device relies on a 6.6-inch LCD screen (Full HD +, 90 Hz) behind which sits a MediaTek Dimensity 810 chip accompanied by 6 GB of RAM. Realme also offers 120 GB of storage, a microSD port and a 5000 mAh battery compatible with 33 W charging. The device, on the other hand, is simple in the photo department, announcing a 48 megapixel main sensor supported by a sensor monochrome only intended to support the capture of portraits.
The Narzo 50 4G differs very logically from this 5G model by its chip. It is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G96 flanked by 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. This is not its only specificity, because it has a main 50 Mpx photo sensor, two other sensors of 2 Mpx each (macro and depth) and gains a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It nevertheless retains the diagonal of 6, 6 inches of the Narzo 50 5G, its LCD technology and the 5000 mAh battery (charging at 33 W).
The Narzo 50A Prime brings up the rear and is the most affordable of the range. It also offers a 6.6-inch LCD screen, but at the standard refresh rate of 60 Hz, as well as a 5000 mAh battery with a charge limited this time to 18 W. It is powered by a Unisoc T612 SoC accompanied 4 GB of RAM. Its storage peaks at 64 GB.
Three smartphones under €260
In reality, the Narzo 50 series is not limited to these three devices, Realme having announced in India a model stamped Pro which benefits from an Amoled panel and a Dimensity 920 chip compatible with 5G. A terminal a little more expensive than the three devices announced in France, since it takes €170 for the Narzo 50A Prime, €220 for the Narzo 50 4G and €260 for the Narzo 50 5G. The set will be available starting May 25 at noon, Realme says.
