Without a license plate – motorcycle driver fled from the police

South of Graz, the police are looking for the driver of a “bright green” motorcycle after he fled from a checkpoint without a license plate and hit a patrol car.

Shortly before 4 p.m. this Saturday, a police patrol became aware of several motorcycles at a gas station on Feldkirchenstrasse in Kalsdorf, although two of the vehicles had no license plates mounted. When the bikers saw the police officers, the driver of a “bright green” motorcycle fled. The officers then tried to block the escape route by parking their patrol car in the exit area. However, the biker continued to flee despite clear signs to stop. He even hit the patrol car, causing it to be damaged in the front area. Scramble with police officers. A few hundred meters further on, the motorcycle driver apparently involuntarily came to a standstill on a grass verge in the area of ​​a leisure complex (Copacabana) after his engine “stopped”. A police officer then jumped out of the patrol car and grabbed the driver by his jacket. Shortly afterwards, however, he managed to escape again after he was able to start the engine and break away. Manhunt is underway. No one was injured in this pursuit. Only the patrol car suffered material damage in the front area. Since then, investigations have been underway to find the previously unknown driver of the “bright green” motorcycle without a license plate. Video recordings are also evaluated for this purpose.
