Without these three words, your life will be instantly easier

You don't need a yoga retreat, a week of silence in the monastery or a life coach to turn fate for the better: it is enough if you simply delete a few letters from the vocabulary. No bullshit.

Folks, it's really true: happiness lies in the small changes! It can even be because you forget forever two to seven letters that no one needs. Which should that be? Here they come:

1. TO

"Like right now?" you probably wonder. "That should be the magic formula !?" In fact, this little word can change the entire perception. Have you ever compared the sentence "My bottom is fat" to the sentence "My bottom is TOO fat"? Just. The example works even better for "This is exhausting" and "This is TOO exhausting". Got what we mean? Exactly.

P.S .: Your bottom is not fat, but especially not TOO fat. And even if it's nice and fat, it doesn't matter at all / that's a good thing!

2. SORRY

This filler word just doesn't do anything, except that we seem to have to justify ourselves for something that there is about 99.9% probability that we don't have to justify ourselves. For example, the sentence "I can't go to parents 'evening tomorrow" can easily be replaced by "I can't go to parents' evening tomorrow" – without losing any of its meaning. Apart from the fact that you don't have to lie (at least with this example). Seriously: Most of the time, "unfortunately" is a filler word without any use. But if you're really sorry that you don't have time, it makes more sense to suggest a new date. And, honestly, how often do you mean SORRY when you say or write SORRY?

3. MAYBE

Admittedly, this word usually looks pretty when written, we can't say more positive things about it. In any case, it has no place in important sentences. Or do you think it would be good if someone said "Maybe I love you"? "You may be beautiful" is also somehow a semi-optimal sentence.

So why do we say "Maybe I'll take over the cake buffet at the daycare flea market"? MAYBE the little annoying cousin of yes and no – which by the way, nobody really needs. We either want something or we don't want it. There is nothing in between. Apart from that, it MAY be the end of any commitment, which can make us very happy. In every respect – especially when we say goodbye to the right words.
