A serious accident at work occurred on Tuesday morning in Schlaiten near Lienz in East Tyrol. A farmer (48) fell five meters from a roof. A relative of the man became aware of the accident by chance and started the rescue chain.
An East Tyrolean man heard a loud bang on Tuesday morning while standing in front of a house in Schlaiten near Lienz. When the man checked, he made the terrible discovery: the significantly injured farmer was lying on a wooden floor. The 48-year-old fell five meters while working on the roof structure. His relative provided first aid and alerted the rescue workers. The injured person had to be flown to the clinic in Innsbruck by emergency helicopter. Further investigations into the accident are ongoing.
