Witnesses wanted – local guest seriously injured after scuffle in Liezen

Broken ribs and a hole in the lung: A local guest (35) in Liezen (Styria) suffered serious injuries after a night of drinking in mid-March. Apparently he must have been beaten up, but he can’t remember anything. The police is now looking for witnesses.

Already in the night of Saturday, March 12, 2022, the 35-year-old from the district of Kirchdorf/Upper Austria turned to the police in Liezen after a nightly local tour. The heavily intoxicated Upper Austrian stated that he had had an argument with two unknown men in an American cocktail bar in Liezen. As part of this, he would have suffered a slightly bleeding wound on his right little finger. His mobile phone was also lost. Officers from the Liezen police then began investigating again. When questioned, the 35-year-old stated that in the early hours of March 12, 2022, after reporting to the police, he went to another bar on Ausseer Straße in Liezen. There, the Upper Austrian is said to have been “roughly” carried out of the restaurant by three unknown men. The 35-year-old couldn’t remember exactly what happened.
