Wolfgang Joop (75) did it again: The fashion designer brings out his second interior collection for Aldi. The discounter announced this in a message on Monday. The line therefore includes bed linen, decorative pillows and blankets, among other things, and consists of a total of eight parts in different sizes and colors.

Cotton from a special cultivation program

"For the new collection, I was inspired by the colorful spice bazaars of Marrakech and Morocco, in local thrift stores, in markets and especially in antique shops," explains Joop in an interview with the "Aldi Süd Blog" the background of his second collection "Casa Deco designed by Wolfgang Joop". "This time I wanted to focus on being able to redecorate as quickly and easily as possible in spring. Especially after winter, you want to change something."

The orange towels are one of his favorites in the collection, continues Joop. "The cotton we use for parts of the collection is from the 'Cotton Made in Africa' program. This improves the living conditions of African cotton farmers and their families and protects the environment."

Wolfgang Joop's home textiles will be available in all branches of Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd from February 10th, prices range from 7.99 euros to 34.99 euros. In mid-February 2019, Joop's first Aldi collection went on sale, also under the name "Casa Deco designed by Wolfgang Joop". At that time, in addition to fleece blankets and velvet pillows, the collection also included other decorative elements such as lanterns or trays. Joop's daughter Jette also designed two fashion lines for Aldi in 2016.
