Perhaps one of the craziest rumors regarding the film is the presence of Tom Cruise in the skin of a variant of Iron Man! A few weeks ago, the journalist and influencer Daniel Richtman had relayed this noise from the corridor, which had caused the panic of the fans. Excitement that escalated a few days later when the Moth Culture account posted a photo (blurred)specifying that it could be the first image of the star on the set.
Remember that before Robert Downey Jr was recruited to play Tony Stark, the role had just been offered to Tom Cruise. A cameo would therefore close the loop but it is still difficult to see a star of this caliber play the game.

According to the Twitter account Atlanta Filming, another character well known to Marvel fans could return to the screen in Doctor Strange 2: the Ghost Rider. However, it was not specified who would play him, if the information turns out to be correct. Nicolas Cage has already played him in two films that are not officially part of the MCU and Gabriel Luna has played another version of the hero in the series Agents of Shield.

Quite recently, another rumor has appeared on the Web: the potential participation of James Marsden, alias Cyclops in the X-Men films, in Doctor Strange 2. A supposition deduced following a photo posted on Instagram by Mariana Torres, who lends her voice to Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) in the Portuguese versions of Marvel productions. In this image, the actress poses next to Manolo Rey, known to double Marsden!
The photo is also accompanied by the letter “X” and the words “Mutante e orgulhoso”, or “Mutant and proud” in French, the motto of the X-Men. A film on the super-team was also announced by Marvel a few years ago, but it would not be surprising if the characters appeared in other feature films from the firm before meeting…

After his very notable appearances in Spider-Man: No Way Home, the interpreter of Peter Parker in Sam Raimi’s trilogy could once again slip into the Spider-Man costume and find Benedict Cumberbatch in Doctor Strange 2.
The most convincing proof? The same as for Cyclops, because in addition to dubbing the mutant, Manolo Rey is the official Portuguese voice of Spider-Man! The photo posted by Mariana Torres also shows him with a t-shirt bearing the image of the hero.
It is therefore difficult to know what these two are working on at the moment but one thing is certain, it may please fans of the Maison des Idées, especially if it involves a Maguire-Raimi reunion!

If Spider-Man: No Way Home brought the concept of the multiverse to the cinema, it had already been presented on the small screen in the Disney+ series Loki, obviously worn by Tom Hiddleston. The show notably introduced alternate realities and variants to viewers.
It could thus make sense to find the God of Mischief in a film called Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. This is what the Hollywood Reporter announced last July, specifying however that Marvel had not confirmed the information.

A few months ago, the site Giant Freaking Robotlittle known for its reliability, claimed that Hayley Atwell would return to her role as Captain Carter in Doctor Strange 2.
A rumor that became much more plausible after the broadcast of the animated series What if…? in which a version of the character joins the Guardians of the Multiverse alongside an evil version of Doctor Strange, who appears in the feature film’s trailer. It therefore seems rather likely that this double of the Sorcerer Supreme is not the only one to go from an animated version to a real one!

“Guys, it was great to work in a certain city, with a certain director, in such a film with such an actor, oh yes!” Bruce Campbell mischievously wrote last February, under a London snapshot posted on Twitter . City in which Doctor Strange 2 was then filmed, directed by his favorite director, Sam Raimi.
The duo has notably collaborated on the Evil Dead films and series, and it is also rumored that Campbell could resume his role as Ash in the MCU or play a completely different character such as a variant of Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal in Spider- Man: Far From Home).
