Worker Slipped – Burned while paving asphalt


A construction worker slipped on the step of an asphalt paver in Terfens on Wednesday and fell on the hot asphalt. The 27-year-old suffered severe burns. He was brought to the Innsbruck clinic.

Shortly before noon, asphalting work was carried out in the local area of ​​Terfens. In the course of this, an employee of a construction company, a 27-year-old Austrian, stood on the step of the asphalt paver. “The worker slipped on the running board and fell sideways onto the hot asphalt,” the police said.

As a result, the worker suffered severe burns on his left arm and knee. After first aid was carried out on site, the injured person was admitted to the Innsbruck University Hospital.
