A construction worker slipped on the step of an asphalt paver in Terfens on Wednesday and fell on the hot asphalt. The 27-year-old suffered severe burns. He was brought to the Innsbruck clinic.
Shortly before noon, asphalting work was carried out in the local area of Terfens. In the course of this, an employee of a construction company, a 27-year-old Austrian, stood on the step of the asphalt paver. “The worker slipped on the running board and fell sideways onto the hot asphalt,” the police said.

As a result, the worker suffered severe burns on his left arm and knee. After first aid was carried out on site, the injured person was admitted to the Innsbruck University Hospital.
