With Xiaomi, you might soon be able to control your TV with the power of your mind. The MiGu headband could make that possible.

A very special product was created as part of a hackathon organized by Xiaomi. The gadget called “MiGu” looks like a headband from the anime series Naruto. But instead of ninja powers, it gives you the ability to control your smart home with the power of your mind.

As XiaomiUI reports, the MiGu headband has three sensors that read the electrical activity in your brain like an EEG (short for electroencephalograph). This should not only make it possible to control devices in your household, but also to monitor your state of health.

MiGu is currently only a very early development concept and by no means a marketable product. However, considering the rapid development of body sensors in smartwatches and fitness trackers, a comparable headband could become a reality at some point.
