(CercleFinance.com) – AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) and Xilinx announced Thursday evening a postponement of the date scheduled for the proposed acquisition of the second by the first, given the state of global regulatory approvals required for this transaction .
‘While we previously expected to get all approvals by the end of 2021, we have not yet completed the process and now expect the deal to close in the first quarter of 2022,’ say they.
However, both semiconductor groups say they continue to make good progress on the required regulatory approvals and expect to obtain all of them. There are no other changes to the conditions or plans previously announced.
