Xturismo: Drift through the traffic jam with the flying motorbike

In contrast to many eVTOLs, you sit on Xturismo like on an e-motorcycle. The hoverbike from Japan uses combustion engines and electric motors for propulsion.

Many architects no longer see a purpose for electric cars or an eVTOL in future cities. Perhaps for this reason, the Japanese Xturismo was not only developed for private transport, but to be used for sheer joy or for rescue operations in difficult terrain.

The aircraft weighs almost 300 kilograms, the payload is 100 kilograms. In addition to a passenger, there isn’t much left over for luggage. There is no space for this anyway, because unlike many other eVTOLs, you sit on the Xturismo like on a motorcycle.

Numerous sensors and systems ensure that you don’t accidentally hit an obstacle in the air. A combination of electric and combustion engines provides lift and propulsion, driving two powerful rotors and several small rotors for steering. The top speed is electronically limited to 100 km/h.

A video released by the manufacturer shows the Xturismo “drifting” in the air. However, it will still be some time before the unusual aircraft arrives in the old days. First, like some jetpacks, it is likely to be used in emergency operations.
