Yamaha continues its offensive in the true wireless headphone market with the new TW-E3C, an affordable model with many features. Among them, we can cite a Game Mode which would be able to drastically reduce latency in Bluetooth communication, to allow mobile games to be played without any problems. They also have a listening mode for surrounding sounds to stay aware of what is happening around you. However, active noise reduction remains reserved for the brand’s higher-end models.
The TW-E3Cs also have a function called Role-Swap, which would limit the uneven battery drop between each earphone. To do this, the TW-E3C would be able to automatically exchange their role (primary/secondary) at the time of connection. In addition, the autonomy would reach 9 hours per charge, and up to 24 hours with the case.
Yamaha technologies are obviously present. This is the case of Listening Care, an automatic physiological equalization that maintains the balance between bass and treble, whatever the listening volume. The TW-E3Cs also benefit from True Sound sound processing and promise “clear mids and highs“, of the “deep bass” and an expanded soundstage. It is also possible to adapt the sound reproduction to your liking thanks to the equalizer included in the Headphone Control app. In addition, a system of vents improves the rendering of the bass and limits the feeling of pressure caused by the in-ear format.
Beyond these numerous features, the TW-E3Cs promise first-class comfort, have four microphones for calls and are IPX5 certified. They also support a multipoint Bluetooth function and are compatible with the aptX Adaptive codec.
The TW-E3C will be available during the month of February, in many colors, at a price of 129 €.
