You don't have to move with these 5 fitness exercises!

Especially those who work in the home office in Corona times and hardly come to the door, often wonders how he is going to keep up with his fitness routine. With thin ceilings and noise-sensitive neighbors, jumping jacks and the like can quickly lead to trouble.

Fit thanks to isometric exercises

Fortunately, that doesn't mean that you can't exercise at home. It is possible to train the muscles in complete immobility – thanks to what is known as isometric training. Fitness exercises in which we move are complex movements. They usually consist of two different parts: From the concentric part, in which one overcomes a resistance, and an eccentric part, in which one counteracts a resistance. An example: In the squat, crouching is the eccentric movement and getting up is the concentric movement.

If there is no movement at all, one speaks of the isometric part. The body works like a holding work and remains in a static position with tense muscles. Sounds relaxed, but it's really exhausting!
