Google currently offers YouTube Premium in some countries for the equivalent of 1 euro. Resourceful fans have found out how the deal can also be used in this country. But is that legal?

- In other countries, Google often offers the service at a special price of 1 euro.
- With a trick, the offer can also be used from Germany. But that’s not legal.
With YouTube Premium, Google has long been offering a subscription to its video platform. If you complete this, you will no longer see any advertising, among other things, and the sound of music videos will continue even if the display of your mobile phone switches off. In Germany, YouTube Premium costs EUR 11.99 per month.
In other countries, for example currently in Argentina, Google is luring you with an enticing deal: Here you only pay 1 euro per month for the subscription, in the family tariff it is 1.55 euros.
Resourceful fans have found out that the deal can also be claimed from Germany and other European countries. To do this, you need a VPN service that has servers in Argentina. If you log in to YouTube via this, you should be able to see and take advantage of the “Premium for 1 Euro” offer.
Violation of the YouTube Terms of Service
But is that legal? no From a legal point of view, you are not committing a crime, because the use of a VPN is not prohibited in Germany, but Google clearly excludes the trick described in the YouTube terms of use. There it says under point “2.3 Geographical restrictions”:
You agree not to provide any false, inaccurate or misleading information about your country of residence. You also agree that you will not attempt to circumvent any restrictions on the use or availability of the Paid Services or the content available through the Paid Services.

Violating the Terms of Service may result in your Google Account being suspended. This would not only affect YouTube, but you may also no longer be able to use other services such as Gmail, Google Drive or Google Pay and also no longer have access to your purchases on Google Play.
