The events took place during the confinement linked to the Covid-19 pandemic. The filmmaker was stuck in Paris, while his wife and children were in New York. “I’m all alone at home, the music loud, but loud! It starts at 10 p.m., I’m like, ‘Okay, that’s fine.’ Music at 11 p.m., I’m like, ‘But he’s partying during Covid.’ I’m waiting for midnight, one o’clock in the morning… I can’t take it anymore, I’m calling him”, Yvan Attal told Léa Salamé. However, Marc Simoncini did not respond to him. “I decide to go downstairs, I wait between two pieces of music to knock on the door.
