ZDF: Tim Niedernolte & Sandra Maria Gronewald exchange jobs

From February 3rd, ZDF viewers will have to get used to the reversed roles of moderator Tim Niedernolte (41) and moderator Sandra Maria Gronewald (43). Because from this date, the two will in future moderate each other's show, as the Mainz broadcaster has now announced. Say Gronewald will lead through the "turntable" (12:10 p.m.) next month, while Niedernolte will take over "hello germany" later (5:10 p.m.) later in the day.

"Editorial unit"

Gronewald was the face of "hello Germany" for around nine years, while Niedernolte did almost five years for "Drehscheibe". "We have been working in a joint editorial unit for almost two years now, in order to strengthen the exchange of content and personnel between 'turntable' and 'hello Germany'", says Renate Lintz-Berkessel, head of the editorial team "Tagesmagazine Mainz".

Both formats deal with the events of the day from around the world and continue to run from Monday to Friday. Gronewald will alternate with Babette von Kienlin (57), Niedernolte will alternate with Lissy Ishag (41) every week.
