We expected it a little bit, but this time it is indeed concrete, Zelda BOTW 2 will not be released this year. Eiji Aonuma and Nintendo have just released an official video in which they explain the reasons for this postponement of several months.
While Sony Playstation has just announced its new Playstation Plus subscription offers, Nintendo for its part, thought it might be time to let go of the heavy too. In this context, and despite its daunting scope, Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 would have felt a bit cramped with this schedule. And then, to end on a lighter note, it would have been harder for him to squat all the GOTY podiums with a certain Elden Ring in the equation.
